Get to know NYCE-Philly’s Uprising Star
May 2011 18

A native Philadelphia rapper, Andre “Nyce” Bryant was raised in neighborhoods all over the City of Brotherly Love, including the West and Southwest areas of the city.  Growing up, Nyce was no stranger to hardship, having lived in the projects for a period of time and being moved from home to home throughout his childhood. However, through these modest beginnings in some of Philadelphia’s toughest neighborhoods, a deep love and appreciation for hip hop was born, and it would shape the rest of Nyce’s life.

Now, with 6 years of experience in the music industry under his belt, Nyce is still writing and performing his own music in cities throughout the east coast, while looking to expand his fan base in the U.S. and overseas.  With a wide range of lyrical content and a style that exudes universal appeal, Nyce is prepared to make an impact in the hip-hop world.  Currently, he is working on his debut solo album entitled ‘Industry Music”, set to be released later this year.

IAA: Why do you want to record and release your own music?

Nyce: First and fore most I want to record and release my own music because I am passionate about my craft. I love to do it and want to give my fans a chance to know me more as a artist. I want to build an ongoing connection and have a chance to broadcast my talent to the music industry.

IAA: Who is your fan base directed towards?

Nyce: My fan base comes from all over the world, all throughout the United States to Paris, London, and Rome and includes all ages and races?

IAA: Who are your musical influences ?

NYCE: Nowadays my influences are Lil Wayne, Ludacris, T.I, Drake, and Rick Ross

IAA: How would you describe your music to people ?

NYCE: My music is like spoken art. You see my vision when you hear my music?

IAA: What makes you stand out from other artist

NYCE: What makes me stand out from other artist is that I know what it takes to make a hit record. Most artist can’t follow the concept when writing a song or they are so busy trying to be something, they really are not, everybody wants to be a gangsta in their rhymes. It’s not about that. It’s about being your self and that’s what makes me different because I’m always myself.

IAA: What are your music career goals?

NYCE: My music goal is to always be the best artist I can be, and to also get signed to a major record label.

IAA: How can your fans access your music and contact you?

NYCE: To all my fans y’all can access my on hotnewhiphop.com/nyce215 myspace.com/nycebryant, you can look up my @NyceBryant.blogspot.com for all my video performances and upcoming shows in a city near you or you can look me up at Industryallaccess.com / Portfolio/blog session or you can follow me on twitter @nycebryant

Nyce you got a nice flow, keep working hard and never let the negative “Hold You Back” truth in the words of Rick Ross. Keep believing in your gift and keep grinding. From one artist to another. Checkout my article on here as well. Let me know what you think.
