Sep 2011 14

IAA:  What is your music background?

Brandon Caldwell:  I started rapping in 2002 in the school yard with friends.  I started taking it seriously in 2004 after graduating from high school.  I began writing songs with a group called the Crooks. After about a year, we all realized that we couldn’t agree on anything and the group separated.  In 2007, I resurfaced with The Grindhouse, which didn’t work out. I was then forced to start my own studio/label Breakin’ Down Barriers ENT.

IAA:  Why do you want to record and release your own music?

BRANDON CALDWELL:  Because I feel like I have something to say.  Every word I speak comes from the deepest part of my mind, heart and soul.  I feel like I am able to touch at least one person with my music.

IAA:  What are your songs about?

BRANDON CALDWELL:  My life experiences, if I touch on it in a record I have either gone through it personally or know someone going through it.

IAA: Who is your fan base directed towards?

BRANDON CALDWELL:  Anybody who will listen!!!

IAA:  Who are your musical influences?

BRANDON CALDWELL:  Tupac, T.I., Jeezy, Ludacris, Black Rob

IAA:  How would you describe your music to people?

BRANDON Caldwell:  My music is from the heart. I want people to hear and understand me anytime they listen to my music

IAA:  What makes you stand out from other artist?

BRANDON CALDWELL:  My work ethic makes me stand out from other artist.

IAA: What are some upcoming projects, you are currently working on ?

BRANDON CALDWELL: I currently have the Hunger Painz: Vol 1 Tha grind mix tape available for free download.  I also have my debut solo album called Pure Ambitionz: The Beginning coming soon.

IAA:  What are your career goals? Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

BRANDON CALDWELL:  I want to be the head of a successful record label and give some young men and women the opportunity to stay off of the streets.  In 10 years hopefully I will be doing just that, trying to clean up the hood.
