Edward “Extra Clip” Goode was born in Honolulu Hawaii and was raised in Louisburg, North Carolina. Knowing that music was his calling at an early age, he started creating his own music at the tender age of ten. Known for his humble and mellow persona,  Extra Clip is a beast-the exact opposite when he comes on the track. One fifth of the group  Carolina Country Boys, Extra Clip is an lyrical genius who has the passion and dedicated needed to survive in the highly competitive hip-hop game.

IAA:  What is your music background?

EXTRA CLIP: I love making music so I started making my own music when I was ten years old. I used to make beats on a drum machine making rhymes in my head. I got into making music hard when I was about 10 years old.

IAA:  Why do you want to record and release your own music:

EXTRA CLIP:  With words you can paint a picture. If you are a true artist you can paint a vivid picture. Where I come from, there aren’t many outlets where you can express yourself. I write about the ups and downs, the good and the bad.  Everyone can relate to what I am saying.

IAA:  What are your songs about?

EXTRA CLIP:  My songs are about whatever I am feeling at the moment.  I write, club songs, inspirational songs inspirational, laid back songs and songs for the ladies. I don’t hold back when it comes to being creative.

IAA:  Who is your fan base directed toward?

EXTRA CLIP: My music is directed to the people hustling everyday. I talk about everyday life, good and bad. My music is directed to all ethnicities because I want to be a voice for everyone

IAA: Who are your musical influences?

EXTRA CLIP:  I am influenced by Biggie Smalls, Tupac, Redman, Method Man, Rick Ross, T.I, Marvin Gaye, Ray Charles, Ryan Leslie, Mobb Deep, Dr Dre, Jay- Z, G-Unit, Ice Cube, Ludacris, Kanye West, The Lox, and Snoop Dogg, just to name a few.

IAA: How would you describe your music to people ?

EXTRA CLIP:  Some of my songs are full of energy and some songs are mellow. Every one of my song has an original vibe. My listeners have a variety to choose from.

IAA:  What makes you stand out from other artist?

EXTRA CLIP: Me and my group Carolina Country Boys stand out because we have our own sound. Every Carolina Country Boy can make beats. Our beats are original, unique, and can’t be recreated.  With our music you can feel the meaning behind each song.  We stand out because we are striving to have something better than what we have now.

IAA:  What are some upcoming projects, you are currently working on?

EXTRA CLIP: Me and the Carolina Country Boys just completed We Get It In . We are now focusing on my album Straight Outta Southside album which features Money Aint Gon Stop as a the first single, the album is also being co-produced by Clientel out of Cary, North Carolina,

IAA: What are your career goals? Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

EXTRA CLIP: I want to keep making great music, build the Carolina Country Boys brand and get a few plaques on the wall.  In ten years I hope to see Carolina Country Boys successful doing something we all love to do
