IAA: What city and state are you from?

PRIME AIRA: I’m from Del Paso Heights, a neighborhood in North Sacramento, CA.

IAA: What is your music background?

PRIME AIRA: I’ve been writing music since I was 11 years old. In high school, I was a member of a group called, “B.A.R.S.”. The group was made up of a talented rappers and a dope producer. Eventually the group split, and we all went our separate ways.

IAA: Why do you want to record and release your own music?

PRIME AIRA: I feel as though I have something special. I believe my music is great. I know that if I was to get some buzz, i’ll turn into something major. Sacramento doesn’t have a lot of artists who have major influence in the rap game. It’s time for a change.

IAA: What are your songs about?

PRIME AIRA: My songs are about the things I’ve seen throughout my 19 years. My topics range from stories about struggling, losing loved ones, college life, and experiencing life as a young man.

IAA: Who is your fan base directed towards?

PRIME AIRA: My fan base is merely directed towards anyone and everyone who gives me a chance. People tend to ignore up-and-coming artists. Therefore, I’m grateful to any individual who listens to my music.

IAA: Who are your musical influences?

PRIME AIRA: I have a plethora of musical influences such as, Kanye West, Nas, Mac Dre, Biggie, Pac, Black Star, Fugees, and more. These artists found their own particular niche in the rap game and made it revolutionary. I am determine to do the same.

IAA: How would you describe your music to people ?

PRIME AIRA: My music is authentic, passionate, exciting, witty, and full of truth.

IAA: What makes you stand out from other artist ?

PRIME AIRA: What makes me stand out from other artists is my grind. I am a full time college student on top of my music. Also, I have little to no equipment. Despite the lack of time, equipment, and media, I still make music that people can connect with and build from. This sets me apart from the rest. I work extremely hard.

IAA: What are some upcoming projects you are currently working on?

PRIME AIRA: I just dropped a mix tape called Blue Dreams earlier in October. I’m currently doing collaborations with other local artists in my hometown as well as in my college town. The work never ends. I hope to drop another mix tape by Spring 2012.

IAA:What are your career goals? Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

PRIME AIRA: In ten years, I see myself as a very influential artist in the hip-hop industry, part of a major label. I see myself owning businesses, spreading knowledge, and giving back wherever I can.

IAA: How can your fans access your music and contact you?

PRIME AIRA: Download my mix tape Blue Dreams from datpiff.com. It has yet to disappoint, so I can guarantee you’ll love it. Follow me on twitter @PrhymeAira and like my music page on Facebook under Prime Aira. Shoot me messages, comment, tweet me, show me love, criticize, I love it all.
