IAA SPOTLIGHT-Get To Know VALLEY B-Georgia’s Uprising Star
Jan 2012 02

Stanton “Valley B” Knight, a 20 year old rapper from Georgia, is most known for his versatile lyrics and unique style of songwriting. After writing and recording his first song at the tender age of fifteen, Valley B knew that music was his calling.  After six years of hard work, Valley B’s most popular recording, “Lights Camera” has created a major buzz down south and on internet radio. Determined and ambitious, Valley B is ready to make a name for himself in hip-hop’s arena.

IAA:  What city and state are you from?

Valley B:  I’m originally from Thomasville, Georgia. Throughout the years, I’ve lived in various cities which has helped me combine many different styles into one unique sound. My flexibility as an artist has created a diverse fan base throughout my career.

IAA:  What is your music background?

Valley B:  My music background consists of all elements of hip-hop, old and new. Times change, weather changes and so does music. Therefore, I am sincerely dedicated to pleasing my fans in order to become a success to the business. Versatility is the key.

IAA:  Why do you want to record and release your own music?

Valley B:  Music is power. It doesn’t matter if you are going through depression or if you are getting ready to go into a party environment, a great artist should be able to create music that touches basis on both. I plan on releasing my music to satisfy the needs of my fans no matter their situation in life.

IAA:  What are your songs about?

Valley B:  The majority of my music is mainly for club environments. At the same time, I give my fans real life situations that they can relate to, male or female.

IAA:  Who is your fan base directed towards?

Valley B:  My fan base is directed towards young adults.  I want young adults to be able to listen to my music and life experiences so  they don’t make the same mistakes as I have in my past.

IAA:  Who are your musical influences?

Valley B:   Tupac Shukar is one of my greatest influences. Never afraid to voice his opinion, Tupac stood by what he believed in and had an impact on Hip-Hop in general. His legacy lives on.

IAA:  How would you describe your music to people ?

Valley B:  One word, that describes my music is  “Versatile”. At the end of the day, music is a business. With that being said, in order to master my craft I have to consistently give my fans what they desire. Being average is not an option.

IAA:  What makes you stand out from other artist ?

Valley B:  I stand out from other artist because of my professionalism. Today, so many rap artists get carried away by their image that they forget the business aspect of the industry. My ability to handle things on my own has gotten me to where I am today.

IAA:  What are some upcoming projects, you are currently working on?

Valley B:  I am currently working on my upcoming mix tape, All Angles which is scheduled to drop this spring 2012. The name All Angles comes from my ability to be flexible and my creative style of songwriting.

IAA:  What are your career goals? Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Valley B:  My career goals are to become well established in music, fashion, and branding. Ten years from now I plan on having my own clothing line as well as being the CEO of my own recording label.

IAA:  How can your fans access your music and contact you?

Valley B:  All my fans can access and download all music at www.reverbnation.com/valleyb. Also follow me on twitter (@iAmValleyB) for future updates.
