DWAYNE WADE’S EX-WIFE ARRESTED FOR ATTEMPTED CHILD ABDUCTION
Jun 2012 20

Miami Heat Dwyane Wade‘s ex-wife Siovaughn Wade was arrested for attempted child abduction — two counts of unlawful visitation interference and one count of resisting arrest. The Huffington Post reported that according to the police report, on Saturday (June 16th), Dwyane’s sister went to pick up the two boys from Siovaughn’s home in Chicago so that they could fly back to Miami. She waited for hours for Siohvaughn to open the door, but she never did. Wade’s sister called the cops. Siovaughn attempted to leave the home without the children when the cops tried to take her into custody.

At the time, the boys were with Nadgee Alarcon inside the home. Wade hired a private jet to bring his sons home early Saturday and upon their arrival, his oldest son told him that Alarcon “smacked him on the head.” Siohvaughn was later transferred to a hospital, after telling officers she was experience shortness of breath and thought she was having an asthma attack.

  • Wade has asked a Chicago judge to suspend Siovaughn’s right to visitation. His attorney James Pritikin filed an emergency motion and appeared in court yesterday (June 18th). A hearing is set for June 26th.

CREFLO DOLLAR ARRESTED FOR ASSAULTING DAUGHTER
Jun 2012 11

Reports say that Atlanta Pastor Creflo Dollar was arrested on Friday (June 8th) for assaulting his 15-year-old daughter. According to The Atlanta Journal Constitution, Dollar’s daughter has alleged he grabbed her by the throat, pushed her to the ground and then beat her with his shoe. This all allegedly happened in their Sandy Creek Road home in Fayette County after they had an argument regarding the teen going to a party.

Dollar’s 19-year-old daughter Alexandria confirmed her sister’s account — telling police that her dad, “put both hands around her sister’s neck and choked her for about five seconds.” Alexandria then said she then saw Dollar grab her little sister by the shoulders and slap her in the face. She says her sister tried to break free but was thrown to the ground, at which point Alexandria ran to get her mother, Taffi, whose arrival in the kitchen ended the fight, the incident report states.

  • Sheriff spokesman Brent Rowan said that the teen sustained “superficial injuries” to her neck.
  • Dollar claimed that he was merely trying to restrain his daughter — who he claims was acting disrespectfully towards him. He said that while he was holding his daughter, she began to hit back. After wrestling her to the floor, the pastor said he then spanked the teen and sent her to her room, according to the report.

CREFLO RELEASES STATEMENT

The pastor released a statement regarding the incident through his attorney Nikki Bonner. He said, “As a father, I love my children and I always have their best interest at heart at all times, and I would never use my hand to ever cause bodily harm to my children. The facts in this case will be handled privately to further protect my children. My family thanks you for your prayers and continued support.”

Dollar was greeted with rousing applause Sunday as he approached the pulpit and spoke about an argument with his youngest daughter and accused news reporters of sensationalizing the incident. He and his wife, Taffi, have five children.

“As a church family, I want you to hear personally from me that all is well in the Dollar household,” he said after thanking the congregation for their prayers and support.

In response, many throughout the sanctuary applauded again.

“We remain committed to raising our children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord,” he said about the boundaries and guidance he and his wife instill in their home.

After applause subsided, Dollar continued: “I would never put any fault on my children. As Jesus would never put any fault on me. I love her with all of my heart. Amen. There are two things that are certain in the life of a Christian parent. Number one is that we win. And number two: Is that tests will come to try and shake your faith.”

The incident generated widespread attention from media as well as the blogosphere where observers commented on parenting issues, faith and the blurred lines between the public face and private life of well-known religious leaders.

She was rushed to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. The police say that she died of suffocation by cervical compression and may have been sexually assault after she was already dead. They’re also investigating whether or not the girls’ drinks were spiked before the incident.

My love & prayers are with the family of Nicola Furlong.” She then wrote to Perez Hilton, “my dancers had nothing to do w/this tragedy. No one in my entourage was questioned or arrested. They all flew home from Japan. that person on your sight is NOT my dancer. We do NOT know the men in custody. Too much misleading information.”
