It seems like its official over for Nelly and Ashanti. The lovebirds have officially called it quits after 9 years of dating. The rumor mill has been turning with rumors that Nelly is dating model/actress Tae Heckard. The rumors have somewhat been confirmed after Tae posted up a photo with Nelly on her Instagram.
The twosome have been friends since Nelly met Tae on a video set almost 10 years ago. The two remained friends and dated for a brief period, which led to Tae tattooing Nelly’s nickname “Mo” on her lower back. The tattoo can be spotted in her 2005 spread in Smooth Magazine picture below.
The alleged Twitter beef between Chris Brown and Meek Mill over Rihanna continued yesterday (May 29th). As previously reported, several blogs say that Chris Brown took Meek Mill off of his upcoming Fortune album, because Meek slept with his Rihanna. Yesterday, Meek Mill tweeted, “Dese chicks belong 2 da game….not u! Never get confused and think that’s all u!”
Drake — who also is rumored to have been dating Rihanna, jumped into the subtweeting, writing, “Oh that’s your h*? That’s our h* too. Lol.” He then added, “We get gyal eeeeeassy.”
Reports say that Kanye West is once again professing his love for Kim K in his music. According to US Weekly, a source said that in an upcoming Pusha T song, Kanye spits, “I saw you in the club in a white dress/Now I want to put you in a white dress.” A second source said, “Kim and Kanye are 100 percent having conversations about marriage.”
The source added that Kanye has been pursuing Kim “for a long time.” Another source said, “They’ve been friends for years. Kim is ready to give it a try now.”
SOURCE CLARIFIES KANYE’S LYRICS
A source close to the rap star contacted the magazine to clarify Kanye’s lyrics. The source said that the song includes the following lines, “Now she back in the club in a tight dress with dreams of someday wearing a white dress,” with the refrain, “Even though I met you in the club in a tight dress/At first sight I could picture you in a white dress.”
The source said, “Kanye’s been a good sport about all the gossip, but one thing that gets him hot is people misquoting his lyrics!”
So Kanye and Kim have been seen all around town looking like a cute couple, but are you believing this love connection? Elizabeth Currid-Halkett, author of Starstruck: The Business of Celebrity, broke it down for the Washington Post why these two may have hooked :
For a star with no obvious talent, Currid-Halkett said, “it becomes increasingly important to create the narrative arc around romance.” Stars such as Angelina Jolie at or Michelle Williams at least have movies to sell — “we don’t need to care about them as people because we care about their talent” — but Kardashian’s “entire business relies on the public being interested inher.”
But — what about West? He’s got talent; he sells music. Yes, Currid-Halkett said, but his persona is “all about antics. His music is always tongue-in-cheek.”
She mulled it a bit more. “He may be someone who needs attention,” she theorized. “You know, I’m not in his head.”
This fly couple does seem to have alot in common. USA Today notes that they are both Fashion Fanatics, Limelight lovers and they both have bad luck in love. Looks like a love connection made in media heaven.
Last week we reported that Matt Barnes was allegedly dating Desperate Housewife Eva Longoria. Though Eva spoke out against the rumor, Gloria Govan says she isn’t sure if they aren’t actually dating. Gloria and Matt recently separated but Gloria expressed that she is optimistic they will get back together. She tells S2S Magazine:
“I’m not sure if I think they’re rumors. I think at this point having been with Matt, I don’t really put anything past him. He hasn’t directly said, ‘I’m doing this. I’m doing that.’ I’ve heard from some sources that it could be a definite possibility.”
“Dang. I haven’t even been out of the house for a month. Those are the things that float around that start to get to you in your relationship. I know he denied it, but I don’t really know too much about that situation to say it’s not true, but I don’t know enough to say that it is. It wouldn’t surprise me.”
