T.I. SAYS GANGSTA RAP IS DYING

TIT.I. has revealed his mindset while recording his new album Trouble Man. In an interview with The Source, he said, “The main thing I noticed was that there was a shortage of gangsta sh*t. That’s what I came into the game admiring, and that was the genre I wanted to dominate: gangsta rap music. I felt like my genre was dying, you know? If not dying, extremely injured, in critical condition like a m’f—a. It just made me anxious to get out and do something to re-energize the soul of what we grew up listening to.”

  • In other news, T.I.’s wife Tiny has revealed that she and Tip have a sex tape. She said on her Tiny Tonight: V Day Special, and said that it was so nasty she could never watch it again. She said, “[It was] real nasty. [Claudia: On a scale of one to ten?] Fifteen. They were nasty. They were outside and everything. It was ridiculous. I had fun and the police got it [when they raided our house] and they probably had fun with it too.[…]I just wanted to see if it looks as good as it really is. Our sex tape was like…we could probably get ten million.”

T.I. LOOKING FOR $75 MILLION RECORD DEAL

Sources tell TMZ, that the King of the South, seeking a lucrative deal that includes three albums, 10-20 percent of publishing, touring, merchandise, film, and TV rights, endorsements, and exclusive signing of all his Grand Hustle artists.

It is rumored that he already met with some top dogs including Dr. Dre, who asked him to join Interscope, and Jay-Z, who is considering bringing T.I. into the Roc Nation family.

According to TMZ, Sony has already put a $50 million offer on the table and Universal is expected to make their bid soon.

There is also a strong possibility that he will renew his deal with Atlantic, who released his eighth album Trouble Man: Heavy Is the Head in December. It debuted at No. 2 with 179,000 copies.

T.I. SPEAKS ON THE CONNECTICUT SHOOTING TRAGEDY

ti-armsT.I. has opened up about the tragic shooting in Newtown, CT. In an interview with Sway in the Morning, the rap star — who is a father himself, said, “It’s a tragedy, it’s a travesty. My heart goes out to the family. As a parent yourself, there is no way you can observe something like that go on and not be touched in your heart.”

Tip then spoke about his previous arrests for gun possession, saying, “I don’t want to run the risk of sounding inappropriate, but that is the exactly the reason why I had mines. Because at any time, if anybody call me anything, when I had mine, I’m pulling up with them. And the whole perimeter will be secure and ain’t nobody moving but us. And all women and children were safe.”

  • He continued, “I have principal, morals and standards. I ain’t been to the military but I am very militant minded when it comes to protecting . . . Instinctively, that’s what’s in me to protect mine, by any means. I’m gonna lay my life down to protect mine. My mentality wasn’t to go out there to do no foolishness, it was to make sure that I was prepared in case anyone came to do some foolishness to me.”

TIP SPEAKS ON GUN CONTROL

T.I. then spoke on gun control, saying that he doesn’t necessarily agree with getting guns off the streets, because if you take away the citizen’s right to bear arms, then the only people who will have guns are the ones who are willing to break the law to keep them.

  • T.I. suggested that the government heighten the criteria in order to get guns by taken a class or a mental stability test. He also suggested that gun licenses must be renewed annually.
